About Overdrive crew
We started in a cold garage with a Miata, a GoPro and a dream.
ON OVERDRIVE was born as a night-drive blog in 2008. Today it's a full-throttle universe: print-style long reads, YouTube-style track tests, wrench guides, and a community of 120k drivers who actually drive. We buy our own tires. We pay our own fuel. We say when a $300k supercar understeers like a van.

What is ON OVERDRIVE about?
Independent car culture since 2008: supercar and daily reviews, JDM and muscle history, restomod builds, tuning guides, road trips and track days. Everything with real mileage and real costs.
How do you test cars?
Minimum 300 km road + 20 laps track + dyno run. We measure 0-100, 100-200, braking, consumption, noise and smiles per mile. No manufacturer scripts.
Can I join your meets?
Yes. Dawn Patrol runs monthly. Any car with soul welcome — from Kei cars to hypercars. Check the contact section and just show up with full tank.
Do you cover EVs?
Absolutely. Taycan Turbo GT, Ioniq 5 N, Plaid — we love instant torque but we also keep V8s alive. Comparison tests every month.
